Sewn Notebook (Stage 3)

I almost missed a crucial step at the end of Stage 2, applying glue to the spine, which was left overnight to dry. Crisis averted.

Next, I selected some decorative endpapers that I thought would complement the notebook’s planned blue cover, and glued them to the book block to dry.

Then came the headband and ribbon. Rather than making these from scratch as the book suggested, I opted for pre-purchased coloured options and chose one that works with the intended cover colour.

The day’s final task was gluing the headbands in place and reinforcing the spine. I didn’t have kraft paper to hand, so I used some hessian fabric from a previous purchase as a substitute. Everything is now propped up to dry overnight.
